On June 9, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RM in partnership with the International Exhibition Center Moldexpo presented the concept of the first edition of the new exposition.
The exhibition is conceived as a platform to support Moldovan producers and encourage conscious consumption of products produced by local entrepreneurs. It is planned to become an annual event dedicated to quality and local traditions, which will bring together producers, as well as consumers from the country and the diaspora at Moldexpo.
“Produs autohton” will include several thematic zones. In the central pavilion, the districts of the republic will be represented by thematic stands with iconic local products. Pavilion 2 will host products made by local artisans and entrepreneurs, while the open area will host tastings and direct sales of fruits, vegetables, sweets, natural drinks, contests “Best Home Wine”, etc. The pavilion will be organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
A cultural and gastronomic festival with stands of local delicacies, handicraft fairs, gastronomic master classes, culinary competitions and concerts of folk singers from all regions of Moldova will be organized in parallel with the exhibition.
At the same time, as the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, noted, the organizers count on the diaspora as “ambassadors” of Moldovan products in terms of their promotion abroad, development of distribution and export networks, as well as support for local entrepreneurial initiatives.
“Through Produs autohton, we aim to increase the visibility of local producers, strengthen beneficial economic cooperation, and promote Moldova’s cultural and culinary heritage. At the same time, we intend to encourage responsible consumption, when the choice becomes an act of support for our country and identity,” said Sergiu Harea, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova.
We would like to remind you that the exhibition “Fabricat in Moldova” is also held annually in Moldova.
